These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Need A Witness UK platform (“the Service”), operated by Need A Witness UK. By booking a witness, creating an account, or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
Need A Witness UK provides a platform that connects couples with available wedding witnesses. We are not a legal authority and do not provide legal advice. Our witnesses attend ceremonies solely to act as official witnesses as required by UK law.
Users must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity under your account.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe or Monzo. By booking a witness, you agree to the payment provider’s terms and conditions. All fees must be paid in full before a witness is confirmed.
We operate Monday to Saturday at our standard rates. Sunday ceremonies include a premium surcharge, and UK Bank Holidays are charged at double the standard rate. Deposits and final balances are adjusted accordingly.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the ceremony may be eligible for a partial refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable. If a witness cancels, we will attempt to provide a replacement at no additional cost.
Need A Witness UK is not liable for delays, cancellations, registry office decisions, or any issues outside our control. Our responsibility is limited to providing a witness for your ceremony.
We reserve the right to remove any user or witness from the platform for inappropriate, abusive, or unsafe behaviour.
We collect and store information necessary to operate the service. For full details, please see our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
